I Think I'm Turning Japanese - Onigiri Sushi

Just a quicky tonight. Still broke means still living out of the cupboard. Tonight I tried my hand at the art of onigiri.

Ingredients;
Sushi Rice
Nori Sheets
Furikake (Rice Seasoning)/Sesame Seeds/Chilli Flakes/Roasted Sesame Seeds
Soy Sauce (or other dipping sauce of choice, we have Dumpling Sauce which is soy, sesame oil, chilli, garlic, salt, sound amazing, you can find them at any of your local Asian Grocers, our faves are Kongs & Trans)
Warm Water & Salt

Cook rice in a rice cooker (or per packets directions).
Cut nori sheet into a long half, and then into strips approx. 2-3cm wide.
Fill a bowl with warm water and add a tsp of salt.
I used a triangle type mold, you can use a small shallow cup, or your hands - here is a handy link.
Dip your fingers into the water (this stops the rice sticking to you, and also lightely seasons the rice), compact the rice into the mold/cup/into shape, continuously rewetting your hands, and adding more rice.
Once you are done wrap a seaweed strip around the bottom of the triangle/ball- this is where you hold it.
In separate bowls pour your rice seasonings, and roll the triangles in to cover the rims.

My first 2 failed, it takes some practice. Once you get the hang you can really go nuts.
We served these with vegan BBQ pork buns, vegetable dumplings and Asian greens.
Easy, cheap and tasty!
